Service Description

Discover a simple, fun, and surprising printing technique: the Gelli Plate! How can you create unique images without a printing press? This workshop invites you to explore monotype with the Gelli Plate, a creative printing technique that allows you to create original works by playing with colors, textures, and layering. Using a flexible gel plate, paints, and various materials—plants, stencils, everyday objects, and textured elements—you will learn to compose, layer, and transfer images onto paper. Each print is unique! Through chance, gesture, and composition, you will discover how to create backgrounds, patterns, and unexpected effects, then combine different prints to give birth to your own creations. On the agenda: experimentation, discovery, and creative freedom! You will leave with a series of original prints created during the workshop. No prior experience is necessary. The workshop is open to all curious and creative enthusiasts, ages 12 and up. About the artist: Sébastien Théraulaz (https://www.instagram.com/sebtheraulaz) is a Swiss artist and art director trained in industrial design at the Art Center College of Design.
