Join watercolor painter Ion Carchelan for an intensive day dedicated to landscapes and the transparency of watercolor. The program includes a demonstration, step-by-step guided painting, and individual support to complete a finished piece. About the artist Ion Carchelan (https://www.instagram.com/ioncarchelan/) is an internationally renowned painter, born in the late 1960s in the Republic of Moldova. He studied at the Al. Plămădeală College of Fine Arts. Living near his hometown, he works with great discipline and paints daily in the tranquility of his studio. His watercolors capture the poetry of rural Moldovan landscapes: the gentleness of the water, the foliage, the rustic buildings, and the light in the fields—all imbued with an atmosphere of serenity and contemplation. Program (Day) 1. Welcome & Introduction: Artist presentation + discussion about materials (watercolor) 2. Presentation of the theme: "Poppies on the outskirts of the city" (approx. 1 hour) 3. Intensive painting session (approx. 3-4 hours) to create a complete watercolor • Breaks included • Questions upon request • Individual guidance throughout the process 4. End of session (approx. 30-40 min): Presentation of artwork, feedback & questions Materials (recommended) • Watercolor paints • Watercolor paper (Sennelier, Arches, etc., or equivalent) • Brushes: flat and round (various sizes; width up to approx. 30-40 mm) • Pencil Note: Ion recommends "White Nights" watercolors, but each participant can use the brands and brushes that suit them best.
