Discover drawing and sculpture from life with Gabriel Schwaab and Bertrand Godefroy. This workshop offers a complete immersion in the world of drawing and sculpture, focusing on the study of the body and portraiture from a live model. 🎨 The first two days will be dedicated to drawing, exploring observation, accurate proportions, and an understanding of volume. 🗿 The following three days will invite participants to translate this observation into physical form, creating a portrait sculpture guided by a sensitive and structured approach. Each participant will produce a drawing and a sculpture, demonstrating the dialogue between the two disciplines and the complementary nature of observation, gesture, and creation. This workshop is for anyone who wishes to deepen their artistic practice in an atmosphere of artistic curiosity and sharing. About the speakers: Gabriel Schwaab (https://www.gabrielschwaab.com/about) and Bertrand Godefroy (https://artemest.com/en-ch/artisans/bertrand-godefroy) are two sculptors and draftsmen based in Florence, Italy, where they share a studio dedicated to creating their original works. Driven by a profound passion for form and the human figure, they develop a personal practice that continues the great traditions of figurative sculpture while asserting a contemporary and sensitive expression. Alongside their artistic practice, they both teach in the sculpture program at the Florence Academy of Art, where they pass on their expertise and discerning eye to young artists from around the world. Their journey led them to Florence to dedicate themselves fully to the study and teaching of sculpture, in an environment where history, art, and materials engage in a daily dialogue. 📍 LOCATION: Artiloft, Chemin de la Colline 1c, 1007 Lausanne 📅 DATES: July 13-17, 2026 (5 days).
