In this workshop with Kohlene Hendrickson, you'll discover the secrets of paint-making, a practice that dates back to the earliest artists. It's fascinating to see how industrialization has changed our relationship with art materials, but going back to the basics can enrich your creativity. By experimenting with pigments and binders, you'll learn why certain mixtures work or fail. For example, some pigments can float or separate when diluted, allowing you to create unique effects.
