We are pleased to invite you to an exceptional watercolor workshop led by Marc Folly (https://marc-folly.com), an artist and watercolorist renowned for his subtle approach to light, values, and contrasts. In this workshop, Marc will share his unique artistic approach, centered on the study of the value scale - from black to white, including the entire range of grays. According to him, shadow reveals light and emphasizes the composition of the painting, giving it strength and balance. Color then vibrates, interspersing and superimposing itself on these areas of contrast to enrich the composition. Using photographic material, you will be guided through a step-by-step progression, punctuated by numerous technical tips and watercolor demonstrations - the highlights of Marc's teaching. You will learn to construct a balanced image where drawing, composition, graphics, and light interact harmoniously. This workshop is aimed at both experienced artists and passionate amateurs wishing to deepen their understanding of light and values in painting. 📍 LOCATION: Artiloft, Chemin de la Colline 1c, 1007 Lausanne 📅 DATES: January 10 and 11, 2026 (Saturday + Sunday) 🕙 HOURS: 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (1-hour lunch break, 2 days of 7 hours, 14 hours in total) 💰 PRICE: CHF 360 with your materials / CHF 390 with materials provided 🗣️ LANGUAGE: French and English ADMISSION - All artists are welcome; no skill level is required, adults and children aged 14 and over. It is not possible to participate in only one day. Upon successful completion of the workshop, certificates of achievement are provided.
